Demand for biochar is rising rapidly across the United States, driven by its unique ability to improve performance, support sustainability, and solve pressing environmental challenges. With proven benefits in carbon sequestration, soil health, and emissions reduction, biochar plays a critical role in advancing the circular economy.
Its applications span multiple high-impact sectors such as agriculture, steel manufacturing, asphalt enhancement, and even graphene production—making it a versatile and increasingly essential commodity.

Biomass waste management remains a persistent challenge for municipalities and utility companies alike. Our solution: profitable pyrolysis infrastructure that transforms waste into value—producing biochar and energy in the process.

AED has secured site control to locate pyrolysis facilities on strategically owned lands used to aggregate biomass feedstock from across various regions. We are working directly with biochar equipment manufacturers with many years of experience in successful projects to build out these projects.

Our projects are more than a single opportunity.  We are developing a scalable model that can be located at many locations that have biomass supplies, resulting in a national portfolio of modular, strategically located biochar facilities driven by feedstock availability and regional demand. Each plant represents a platform for asset-based financing, long-term revenue generation, and meaningful environmental impact.
