Associated Energy Developers is proud to team up with Connecticut-based Bookwell Travel, an online travel company on a mission to build 1,000 tiny homes for veterans in need. The team is building its first such community in Erie County, PA.
“Freedom Village,” will be a complex of 20 tiny homes, on the Erie Sports Center property at 8161 Oliver Road in Summit Township. The partners also plan to build a solar field to power the complex and a greenhouse where veterans will be employed. AED is acting as the Solar Consultant on the project, which is planned to contain both roof mounted solar panels and battery storage to provide energy ‘resilience’ in the event of power outages.
Brian Gates of Bookwell Travel is spearheading the Veteran’ Housing efforts, and plans to build many more Freedom Villages across the USA. We applaud Brian and his efforts, and plan to support his efforts all along the way.
